Fast of Daniel fifth day

BODY

Are you getting your 5 A Day?

Fruits and vegetables are good source of vitamins, minerals and fibre.

It is recommended that you eat at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day. Eating 5 portions is not as hard as it sounds.

Just 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 pear or similar-sized fruit each equals 1 portion of your 5 A Day. Similarly, 1 carrot, 8 florets of broccoli/cauliflower or 7 cherry tomatoes each also equals 1 portion.

Task: Get your 5 A Day today and keep going all the way.

SOUL - Task

If you hold a grudge against someone, pray for this person, bless and do not curse them. With God's help, you can do it.

Make sure your heart is clean from what contaminates it, as the Holy Spirit cannot have communion with what is unclean.

SPIRIT

Meditate on Revelation 2:8-11 - The Persecuted Church

Only read the text below after reading the Bible passage.

The church of Smyrna did not perform as many works as the church of Ephesus, yet there was quality in how it served God.

Ephesus characterized quantity, and Smyrna, quality. This Church was being crushed by persecution, causing its character and faithfulness to the Lord Jesus to be noticeable.

It endured the hard trials it was subject to, because it loved its Savior above all else, and so it was one of the churches that were not rebuked by Him.

The Christians of Smyrna represent true converts who over the centuries have been arrested, tortured, persecuted and massacred for standing up for their faith in Jesus.

Persecution against the Church of our Lord has happened in the past, happens today and will happen in the future, until it is raptured into Heaven to meet the Bridegroom.

Task: Apply what Jesus teaches us when we face persecutions in our lives.

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice And be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:11-12)

Do not let negative feelings put you down anymore because of persecutions, but instead, rejoice and be exceedingly glad! There, where you are, glorify God, asking Him to renew your strength!

Reminder: Continue asking God to help you overcome anxiety, Trust Him!
